It is very easy to get married in Barbados as there is no required waiting period or minimum length of stay.
With a bit of planning, you can be legally married in a day which makes it a great option for Cruise Ship passengers as well!

What is required in order to get married in Barbados?
Application for a marriage licence must be made by both parties in person at the office of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Applications for marriage licences must be made between the hours of 8.30 a.m and 3.30 p.m Monday to Friday. You will require:

Sure can! We have partnered with some fantastic agents so that we can offer this service since many of our couples will often ask for advice and request reservation and booking services. With this network we have created, you aren't restricted to certain locations or companies. We find the perfect fit for YOU and can often share any special packages on offer.

Our guests wanted to send us a gift even though they can't be with us - is that an option?
Yes, we have a registry available so your guests can purchase amazing local products or an experience for you during your stay and we will arrange everything. We will email you a 'registry card' that you can send to your guests so they can see the gift options available and the contact information in order to make the purchase/s.
What are the payment terms and cancellation policies?
To secure your booking, a 50% non-refundable deposit of the package chosen is required and the final payment is due 2 weeks before your wedding date.
Once a deposit has been made, we will engage all vendors and this ensures that we will not be taking any other bookings on that date.
If 'Elope Barbados' cancels for whatever reason, we will do our best to find a suitable replacement for your wedding day or we will refund any payments. If the Client cancels for whatever reason, they forfeit any payments made (50% payment if cancelled before 2 weeks and 100% if cancellation is made less than 2 weeks before wedding date)
A reschedule of date is possible in certain circumstances and the reschedule fee will depend on the amount of vendors booked.
Payment can be made by cash, certified manager's cheque, or wire transfer.

- Valid passports and original birth certificates.
- Valid Return tickets.
- If either party was divorced, an original Decree Absolute or a certified copy of the Final Judgment. The Decree Nisi is not accepted.
- If either party was previously married and widowed, a certified copy of the Marriage Certificate and Death Certificate in respect of the deceased spouse.
- For a Roman Catholic ceremony, the relevant documents must be sent by your bishop to the bishop of Bridgetown.
- Where necessary, all documents not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation.
- Arrangements should be made with a Magistrate or Marriage Officer to perform the wedding ceremony, prior to applying for the marriage licence. A letter from either the Magistrate or Marriage Officer must be presented at the time of making the application (This will be arranged for you)
